Hot Tub Removal in Lancaster & Palmdale - Flat-Rate Pricing

A 7-foot hot tub can weigh 600+ pounds empty. We have hauled more than 40 from AV backyards, and the first thing we ask for is a photo.

Quartz Hill backyard before and after: pool parts and scrap wood cleared.

We've hauled more than 40 hot tubs out of Lancaster and Palmdale backyards. Every one of them is the hardest job we do that week. A 7-foot spa dry-weighs 600 pounds. A 7-foot spa that's been collecting water in its skirt for two years can be 900. And the cedar ones from the '90s are worse - waterlogged, heavy, and rotten through the bottom.

We quote hot tubs from photos because one picture tells us the size, material, and access problem before anyone wastes a trip.

Hot tub removal pricing in the AV

Hot tubs live outside our flat junk-removal tiers. They price per job, flat, quoted after a photo:

  • $350 - most standard 4-6 person acrylic tubs on a pad, easy backyard access.
  • $450 - larger 7+ person tubs, or tubs inside a gazebo, deck, or enclosure that needs cutting to access.
  • $550 - cedar tubs, extra-heavy tubs with integrated cabinetry, or tubs behind a gate too tight for the truck (we walk the pieces out).

This includes drain, disconnect, dismantle, haul, and disposal. No hourly clock and no weight surprise. See full pricing for everything else.

Why we always ask for a photo first

Because the price swings based on three things we can see in one picture:

  • Size (4-person vs. 7-person)
  • Material (acrylic is fast; cedar is slow)
  • Access (pad with a gate vs. boxed-in behind a deck)

A pad tub near the driveway can be a one-hour job. A cedar tub on a second-story Palmdale deck is a four-hour job. Same truck, wildly different load-out. We'd rather quote it right than quote it twice.

How we dismantle it

First, we drain the tub completely and bring a pump if it still holds water. Then we disconnect power at the breaker and cap it; we do not touch the panel itself. The cover and skirt panels come off next. After that, we cut the acrylic shell into sections that fit through a 4-foot gate or stairway, load the plumbing, and sweep the pad clean.

Most AV hot tub jobs land between 90 minutes and 3 hours. We'll tell you the window when we quote.

Where hot tubs go after we haul them

Acrylic shells are recycled when the shape allows it. Some route to plastic reclaimers, others go to the AV transfer station. Cedar tubs go to wood-waste recycling. The plumbing, pump, and heater route to LA County metal recyclers. We keep an eye on fluid residue so nothing leaks during transport.

One thing to do before we arrive

Cut power at the breaker the night before. If you can see an electrical inspection sticker on the tub or the GFCI, great - photograph it with your quote request. Some Palmdale HOAs ask for a quick sign-off from the association before we pull the permit-side connection; we know most of the Anaverde and Rancho Vista offices and can coordinate.

Book a hot tub haul

Send us a photo from the deck or gate side. Include the approximate length and whether it's cedar or acrylic. We'll reply same-day with a flat number and an arrival window. City pages: Lancaster, Palmdale, Quartz Hill.
